Our events pages list upcoming tag sales, flea markets, craft fairs, holiday markets and swaps by state and month. Every listing links to the official town or organizer page, so you can check the details yourself.
Town-wide tag sales
On a town-wide weekend, many households in one town hold sales on the same day, often with a printed or online map. To find them:
- Check your town website, especially the parks & recreation or community events page.
- Look at the chamber of commerce, the library, and local clubs that sponsor the sale.
- Watch town newsletters, local news calendars and community bulletin boards in spring and fall.
- Look for the registration notice. Towns often ask sellers to sign up a few weeks before the sale, and the map comes out after that.
We track the date each town last held its sale and post new dates when towns announce them. See the tracked towns.
Flea markets
- Most flea markets run on a schedule: weekly, monthly or on set weekends during their season.
- Check the market's own page for the season, hours, parking and its rain policy before you drive over.
- Some markets charge for parking or entry, and some are indoors in winter. The official page is the place to confirm.
Neighborhood yard sales
- Look for signs at busy corners on Thursday and Friday before a weekend.
- Check community boards at the library, grocery store or coffee shop.
- Browse the garage sale section of local online classifieds and neighborhood apps.
- Ask about church, school and club rummage sales. They are often listed only on the organizer's own page.
Before you go
- Confirm the date and hours on the official page. Dates and rain dates can change.
- Bring small bills and coins, a tote bag and a tape measure for furniture.
- Respect posted start times. Many sellers ask for no early birds.
- Park legally and keep driveways and mailboxes clear.
- Ask before you test anything that plugs in, and check items over before you pay.
